San Francisco HIV/AIDS Outreach
What is the San Francisco Missions Trip?
- The San Francisco trip is a mission outreach trip that touches many lives, mostly focusing on the homeless & those living with AIDS. Along with helping others, the experiences within themselves are eye-openers & personally touching.
AIDS Statistics in San Francisco -
- San Francisco has 26,531 reported cases of AIDS since 1981. Since that date there have been 17,917 AIDS related deaths in San Francisco alone. There are estimated to be 14,010 people in San Francisco RIGHT NOW living with HIV/AIDS and there are an estimated 1,084 new infections each year.*
What to Expect -
- The most exciting experience of this trip is not knowing what to expect or what will happen next. Expect to touch a life and not even know it. Expect to go home with with a sense of accomplishment that you made someone's life and the circumstance that they are in bearable...that you put a smile on their face & left them knowing, "It will be okay".
Why I go -
- As I have participated in these trips, they have become such a passion for me - the people that I've met, the smiles that we have created & the lives touched - have touched my life forever.
This trip has become a passion for me and I hope that it can touch your life as well. --Jennifer Rohaley
