As a group, the members of Edge enjoy answering God’s call to outreach by participating in missions trips locally and abroad. We make frequent trips to San Francisco to help feed those afflicted with AIDS, have recently made a trip to South Africa to help raise money to build a children’s health clinic, and are planning a second trip to Belize for Christmas break 2010 to build a school. Join us!

We also love to compete in various athletic outlets, including an annual football game against the older men in the church, volleyball and basketball tournaments, and in the summer, we sponsor a basketball camp for elementary age children.

Edge members meet during the week for discussion and Bible study. Singles meet on Wednesdays  at 7:30 pm on campus in the Family Life Center.  The young marrieds meet at a local home on Monday’s at 7:00 pm.

Come and hear some amazing stories about what God is doing in and around our friends at the “Seed of Hope”.  If you recall, many of you helped to sponsor and or actually went as worker’s to help organize an AIDS Testing Clinic. Come and find out how your generous prayers and giving are changing lives both physically and eternally.

We are currently interviewing individuals for our upcoming trip in February 2011.

What is the San Francisco Missions Trip?
- The San Francisco trip is a mission outreach trip that touches many lives, mostly focusing on the homeless & those living with AIDS. Along with helping others, the experiences within themselves are eye-openers & personally touching.

AIDS Statistics in San Francisco –
- San Francisco has 26,531 reported cases of AIDS since 1981. Since that date there have been 17,917 AIDS related deaths in San Francisco alone. There are estimated to be 14,010 people in San Francisco RIGHT NOW living with HIV/AIDS and there are an estimated 1,084 new infections each year.*

What to Expect -
- The most exciting experience of this trip is not knowing what to expect or what will happen next. Expect to touch a life and not even know it. Expect to go home with with a sense of accomplishment that you made someone’s life and the circumstance that they are in bearable…that you put a smile on their face & left them knowing, “It will be okay”.
